In 1919, our wonderful Dixie was born in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes. She is the oldest of 8 children and had four children of her own. Although she loves Minnesota, she has lived in California for most of her life. Dixie is retired from North American-Rockwell (now Boeing) and her career spanned from Mercury through the Space Shuttle program She issued the space suits to the original Mercury 7 astronauts and has program patches and other early NASA memorabilia. In addition to our pride in Dixie’s career achievements, she is a joy to be with and is the best daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother for which a family could hope!! We are blessed to be her family and will cherish her forever!
